Only gameboy game to scare me as a child, also engrossing, and creepy, and generally just cool and somewhat well written (in terms of lore anyways). Ketrayal at Krondor was one of the first real RPG's I played. I only discovered this one recently but it's still a lot of fun. Unreal World: Dunno if this one counts, since it's still under active development, but it's initial release date was in 1992 so I'll put it on this list. The sequel, Return to Krondor, isn't quite as good but is still worth mentioning. It features an excellently written story, though it involves a lot of reading, and it has a fairly rich world (and lots of side quests) surrounding it. ![]() The only bad thing I can think to say about it is that the skirmish AI is kinda stupid.īetrayal at Krondor: This was one of the first games I ever played and it was several years old even then. Warcraft III: This remains one of my favorite games ever, and I still open it up every now and again. I even find new things sometimes.Ĭivilization II: Not as many hours here, and it hasn't aged as well, but I still spent a lot of time on this one. TES III: Morrowind: I must've put at least 400 hours into this game over the years, and I still open it up every so often. ![]()
